Museum of Literature by Tadao Ando

I was super excited to be told that Tadao Ando’s Museum of Literature was only a few minutes bike ride away from Himeji Castle! So I got on my bike and rode like an amateur that I am, towards another Ando building.

It was 3pm on a Thursday afternoon, the museum was quiet and deserted as you would expect a museum to be. I was completely obsessed with this one wall that extends from the hall. It’s set against the trees and completely mesmerising.

Although I didn’t get to spend too much time in the museum as it was closing and it was getting dark to get any good pictures, it’s still good to see the building and it was totally worth the painful bike ride.

Hope you guys are enjoying the weekend!
