For me, black and white photos always make the subject of the photo very distant. It cements that moment in time, but I could never see it anything other than whatever is shown in the image.
But colour! Oh colour adds so much. I feel I can step into it. I feel I took the picture, and I can imagine myself being there, watching the subject and clicking the camera. Maybe it’s because that’s how I see it through my eyes.
