Cockatoo Island

Blessed with amazing weather, we postponed the house chores and went out to Cockatoo Island for the 18th Biennale of Sydney.

Yes. This IS a typical Sydney sky.

So after we got on the free ferry that took us to this World Heritage island, i thought I was in a movie scene with the wind in my hair, the Opera House behind us. BUT! I looked like this:

God I’m Sexy!

While I can only allow you a glimpse of what happens on the island, I think it’s quite easy to spend a good 3-4 hours on. Don’t be fooled by anything. It’s a large tiny island with lots to explore.

Although we were running a little tight on time, I feel quite happy leaving at dusk, because we wouldn’t have seen this:

If you happen to be around Sydney, don’t miss out on this exhibition, which will finish in September.
